Private Label Wedding Dresses with Small Minimums: How It Works

Private Label Wedding Dresses with Small Minimums: How It Works

If you are launching a bridal brand or adding a new line, a large minimum order can be the biggest obstacle. Private label production with small minimums lets you test styles with limited stock while your own name stays on every gown. This guide explains how it works in practice.

What private label means for wedding dresses

Private label means the atelier makes the gowns and they are sold under your brand, not ours. Your customers see your name on the label, the hang tag, and the garment bag. We provide woven labels, care labels, hang tags, and garment bags under your own brand name, and a standard NDA protects the confidentiality of your designs.

What "small minimum" means

The minimum quantity depends on the style and the fabric. Small runs are welcome, and the minimum typically starts from a few pieces per style. That makes it practical to launch with a focused collection, see what your customers choose, and reorder with confidence instead of committing to large volumes up front.

Tell us the style and fabric you have in mind and we will confirm the minimum for that style.

Two ways to start

  • OEM, when you already have the design: send 2D pattern files and design specifications, or a physical sample that we can turn into a pattern.
  • ODM, when you start from an idea: send an idea or mood references. Our design team prepares sketches or AI concept visuals for your review. Once the direction is confirmed, we prepare a work order list and move to sampling.

Our guide to OEM vs ODM wedding dresses explains how to choose between the two.

What to prepare before you reach out

  • Fabric and lace direction, or swatches
  • Your size range
  • The quantity you expect per style
  • Your target delivery date

You do not need everything to be final. Send what you have and we will tell you what else we need.

Timing and payment at a glance

  • Sampling: about four weeks, and up to eight weeks depending on the fabric, lace, and handwork involved.
  • Production: typically about 30 days after sample approval.
  • Sample fee: calculated at two to three times the production unit price. It depends on the fabric and manufacturing resources and is confirmed in your quote. Samples are paid in full before work starts, and part of the fee is credited when you place a production order.
  • Payment for production: a 50% deposit to start, with the balance due before shipment.
  • Shipping: freight is quoted through our logistics partners. Our standard terms are FOB, and CIF or DDP are available depending on the order.

What happens when your order grows

Small runs are where many brands begin. When an order exceeds the capacity of our in-house atelier, we may also work with partner facilities to keep operations and production stable.
